16 Present Ideas You Can Make at Home for Mothers Day That Will Melt Her Heart
Mother’s Day rolls around and honestly, what mom doesn’t love something homemade? You don’t need to spend a fortune or get all fancy just a little effort and heart goes a long way.

When you make a present yourself, it just feels more personal. Your mom will see you put in the time, and that’s what matters most. These ideas don’t require fancy skills just a bit of patience and maybe a willingness to get your hands a little messy.
1) Hand-painted flower pot

Grab a plain flower pot terracotta works great and splash on some colors or patterns your mom would love. Acrylic paint sticks nicely and dries fast, which is always helpful if you’re in a hurry.
Drop in a little plant or some fresh flowers, and you’ve got a gift she’ll actually use. It’s got that “I made this for you” vibe.
2) Homemade lavender-scented candles

Making candles isn’t as tricky as it sounds. Melt some wax, stir in a few drops of lavender oil, and pour it into a jar with a wick.

Use air-dry clay or even salt dough to shape a small dish. Press a cup or bowl into the clay to get a smooth shape, then paint it or leave it plain if that’s more your mom’s style.
9) Decorative mason jar vase

Take an old mason jar and give it new life. Paint it, wrap it in twine, or stick on some fun decals.
Fill it with fresh or dried flowers. It’s the kind of thing that brightens up any room, and it’s almost too easy.
You can use any peanut butter jars or honey jars by cleaning them up in the dishwasher. Just be sure to remove any paper labels before they go in the dishwasher so the paper doesn’t get stuck in the bottom of the dishwasher.
